DesignCrowd Has Launched New Community Features

DesignCrowd has launched a new platform to host Community Contests as a way for creatives to interact with one another, showcase their talent, develop new skills and simply have fun!

Community Contests are fun competitions launched by DesignCrowd or directly by the Community. Community Contests is the first of some new Community Features that DesignCrowd will be launching to support activity and engagement amongst creatives.

Community Contests will also become new home for the Worth1000 Community of artists, photographers, illustrators, designers and other creatives.

What's new?

Free skills based contests!

It's completely free to participate in all Community Contests, whether there are Community Points or real monetary prizes up for grabs.

New categories

Budding or pro photographers and illustrators, you'll find a bunch of fun contest categories that have never launched on DesignCrowd before including photography, photoshop, illustration and of course, old favorites like graphic design, logo and web design.

Skills based contests

Contests are offered at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels. Community Admins will manage eligibility to participate, but we hope you'll choose the right level in good faith!

Community Voting and Comments!

Community Contests provide you with more opportunities to interact with other artists and creatives by voting or commenting on their work.

Community Rankings

You can toggle between the rankings by earning or by community rank. For now, your earnings will be visible on the Top Earners board and the points on Communtiy Rank.

by points, skill level and specialty.

How to find the community pages

Go to My Profile account and scroll down the main menu list on the left hand side to the Community button (8th in the list). This link will take you to the community contest pages. If you are not already a member of the DesignCrowd community it's quick and easy to register.

How it works

As a community member, you can submit to contests, comment on entries and vote on submissions. You can only vote once per submission, and you cannot vote for your entry.

Hit the green 'Submit Entry Now' button to participate in community contests.

Contests can be posted by Community Admins based on your ideas, or posted by DesignCrowd.

Community Contest winners will be chosen based on the highest score from the voting results. Winners of contests with monetary prizes sponsored by DesignCrowd may also be chosen based on a judging panel.

A Community Leaderboard will enable you to keep track of your Community Points and overall ranking. Your Community Points will also be visible on your Profile.

Subscribe to the community digest, a weekly round up of new contests, contests in voting stage, and results for recent contests. To subscribe, head to My Profile tab in your account and open 'Email Subscriptions' to find the community digest option.
