Christmas is a great time for creative people, as it provides so many opportunities. In many countries, artisanal Christmas markets offer a good chance for artists and craftspeople to sell their wares, and websites like Etsy provide a world-wide audience hungry for unique presents.
Countless theatre productions and concerts offer entertainment for visiting friends and family, and even commercial designers are having a grand time as brands seek to join in with the festive spirit by sprucing up their logos, websites and packaging or running special holiday campaigns with plenty of call for custom design.
And then, there's the flipside of creativity, as bizarre and outright terrible art is just as attracted to the Season as its more conventional counterparts. There's always much fun to be had looking at horrific Christmas jumpers and awkward family photos.
For us, the crowning glory of bizarre holiday design has to be Christmas album covers though. From plain weird to outrageously inappropriate, these designs make us equally perplexed and curious about their musical content.
