Finally, Star Wars: the Force Awakens has landed, and fans are jumping headfirst into the giddy excitement that is sweeping across the world right now. It's hard to imagine anything upstaging Santa's imminent arrival in December, but Han Solo and Co are really giving the old beardy man a run for his money this year.
Our favorite Star Wars characters have been close to our hearts for decades now, which gives them what's arguably pretty hefty influencing power. If they were real, it's not too far-fetched to think they'd be as competitive as anyone in running for public office - after all, the Terminator already governed California for several years, right?
So with that in mind, we wondered what the world might look like if Star Wars characters took over our most powerful political offices. As always, the results from our talented bunch of Photoshop designers are as amazing as they are hilarious.
