In this design industry review we look at what logo design styles are trending in the travel, tourism and hotel categories. We took a look at recent travel themed logo crowdsourcing projects on DesignCrowd and noticed a few similarities.
Simplicity. In most cases the logos communicate warmth, personable tone that clearly conveys what the business is about. The logo for Exclusive Travel Deals swing tag below does a great job of this.
Hybrid Styles. In terms of logo design types go, the designs featured below fall into three categories: iconic/symbolic, logotype and wordmark, or a combination omark where the icon and the wordmark are used together.

Identity. The featured logos relate closely to the service or product the business offers. For example, Exquiloft Hotel by Mokora is elegant and conveys luxury; The Hawker Hotel by Hoopoe has a low key country rustic characteristics that suggest a remoteness and affordability; and New Zealand's Kapiti Coast Council logo by Sonja conveys an organic, wild feeling suitable for a tourist town by the sea.
